Apex Consulting offers employment advocacy services in the Eastern Bay of Plenty, as well as remotely throughout New Zealand. The principal of Apex Consulting, Heather Tucker, has recently retired from law practice after 13 years specialising in assisting clients in respect of all aspects of Employment Law.

Heather has a strong belief that everyone should be able to obtain legal assistance and access to justice, and understands that there is a need for a lower cost service to provide legal advice to both employers and employees who are experiencing workplace difficulties and disputes.  Apex Consulting is ideally placed to provide this assistance, including dealing with general employment enquiries.  Apex also specialises in personal grievance claims, whether from an employer recipient of such a claim or an employee seeking to formally raise a dispute with their employer. We can also advise on issues concerning restructuring and possible redundancies and assist with wage claims

Heather, in her role as an employment advocate, can represent clients at mediation, the Employment Relations Authority and the Employment Court; however she prefers where possible to take a pragmatic approach to finding a solution to settle issues as expediently as possible for her clients to avoid protracted disputes and the increased costs associated with these.
